As you can see, no expense has been spared on making sure we are as close to the sixties sound as possible, from rickenbacker’s  to Ludwig drums, it sounds as good as it looks.

Our stage set up

We are very lucky to have the association of Debbie Corbett, Debbie has been on the musical circuit for many years and has worked with bands all over the world.

Debbie also adds another dimension to the band, as she sometimes plays keyboards !!

Next years diary is starting to look good already, we will publish our date sheet very soon.

We are taking dates for next year

The Minkees are based around Portsmouth in Hampshire, we are a covers band playing songs from right across the 60’s decade.  For those who were  songs will bring back great memories, for those who were not we can still offer a great evening of fun.

To start with we aren't a tribute band, we don't try to look like any other band as you've seen from the photos,  We can get tarted up in shirts and ties if it's called for but  its the music that is important. We do like to get that right and try to cover a song as closely as possible.

We would like to announce that from January 2010, Martin (Big Nobby) Clark will be joining us on a permanent basis, We would all like to say A very big thank you to Big Al, he is leaving to concentrate more on his own business.

2010 is looking to be a very busy year for the Minkees, bookings are coming in thick and fast, plus, they have been offered a main slot the the very successful Gosport Waterfront Festival that will be held on the Bank holiday Weekend in August 2010.www.gosportfestival.org.uk
